The AASM – an accurate and all-weather stand-off weapon Developed by Sagem, the AASM (Armement Air-Sol Modulaire – modular air-to-ground weapon) is a new family of offensive weapons that is already in the inventory of the French Air Force and Navy as one of their primary air-to-ground precision weapons since 2007.

At the cutting edge of technology, the AASM comes in two versions:GPS/inertial and a combined GPS/inertial/infrared-image guidance. With a stand-off range exceeding 50km, both versions can be fired day and night, under all weather conditions safely way from enemy surface-to-air defences. Thanks to its precision and ability to be retrofitted to various bomb bodies, it can successfully be used to control effect-based operations.
